Question for job seekers: Should you hit pause on your job search over the holidays? 🤔 🎄

Job searching can feel like running a marathon with no finish line in sight—applications, interviews, rejections, repeat.

It’s exhausting, especially as the holidays approach and you're eager to take a break from it all.

But here’s the good news: taking a break doesn’t mean giving up on your #career goals. You can step back, recharge, and still maintain your momentum with small, intentional actions that keep your #job search alive.

Allow me to introduce you to the concept of "minimal effort, maximum impact" in job searching. What does that look like, you ask?

It's all about small, daily tasks to keep your professional brand alive while you take a rest. You can start by carving out 10-15 minutes of tasks every other day.

Here's what you can include in that 15-minute time block:

🟢Polish your LinkedIn profile: Update your headline, add a recent achievement, or tweak your summary to reflect your goals.

🟢Post or comment thoughtfully: Share an article with your take or leave a thoughtful comment on someone else’s post to stay visible in your network.

🟢Send a message with holiday wishes: Reach out to a mentor, colleague, or recruiter with a warm, personalized message—it’s networking without the pressure.

🟢Set job alerts for the new year: Use platforms like LinkedIn or job boards to automate your search so opportunities come to you.

🟢Research companies that may be hiring in 2025: Take a few minutes to read the latest news on funding rounds or announcements for expansion and hiring.

👉 Remember: it's still important to take a break and get proper rest.

Resting prevents #burnout and a refreshed mind tends to be more focused and efficient.

The holidays are also a great opportunity for connection and quality time with your loved ones, which helps you recharge emotionally. Finally, we're always better at reflecting on things when we are allowed some breathing room so, take the time to really think of your career goals and your approach starting next year.

So, there you have it, folks: Minimal effort, maximum results—now that’s holiday job searching done right.
